Purpose of This Reference
New Mexico public-records law makes many jail, court, and corrections records available to the public, but the record type depends on custody status. Colfax County does not publish an official online jail roster in the research materials reviewed for this project. Sentenced state prisoners are handled through NMCD rather than the county jail, and federal or immigration custody uses separate federal systems. This site keeps those public-record categories in one Colfax County-focused reference.
